I am running Windows XP. Recently i defragmented my c:/ drive. I could finish defragmenting my files but it stated that some files couldnt be defragmented. However, when i try to view the files there were no files being shown.

I had researched and even run " chkdsk c: /f " but however the problem still exists.

What should i do?

I had even defragmented in for more than 10 times and restarted it for more than 3 times but however the problem still exists.
How?

I know how defragments works but just doesnt know why it states some files cannot be defragmented but no files were shown

Does it really matter which files couldnt be defragmented?

On your WHOLE harddrive if a few files are still 'fragmented' it wont do any harm.

here u could be attentive to what's defragmentation is 'that's allocation of the region to the counsel what you have saved interior the difficult disk for some documents like the put in documents domicile windows and different softwares it would not defrangment that's why the documents may well be defragmented yet u could do defrag for the different drives for may well be for each 12 days . It would not instruct that those documents are defraged notwithstanding it shows in hues blue, crimson that shows defrag documents and not defrag documents and so on.,
