Finally my iTunes library is complete! I was so happy until i opened My Computer and realized I now have 706MB left. I nearley fainted! I couldn't understand why until I checked the properties of my iTunes library and its 25.6GB. Well my stinking laptop only has 34GB so I basically cant download much until I delete some media out of my library or something (Dont want to do that because most of it I paid for.) I have uninstalled all unnessacary programs from Add Or Remove Programs, and deleted all of unnessacary files from my computer but am still running low. Any suggestions to how I could make some more space would be grately appreciated.

I'm getting a notebook that has this:

2GB PC4200 DDR2 SDRAM (upgradeable)
200GB 4200RPM Serial-ATA hard disk drive

But people keep telling me it has a 2GB hard drive and that that's not a lot, but wouldn't the hard drive be 200GB? If it is 2GB, how much stuff would I be able to save on my notebook?

I've just come back with a PC from USA and when I tried to power it up, it king of lit up, popped and then nothing came on. I understand that USA voltage is different but I had it on 230V which is the norm for UK. The PC was working fine in the U.S. What could be wrong?

I have already taken the Hard Drive to a Data Recovery Place, and it was returned to me because the Platters were damaged! I am a photographer and had all 22 Weddings recovered for the exception of three.

The loss of zero Wedding is more than enough! But three is my most humiliating experience!

If companies can recover scratched CD ROM's there should be a way to recover scratched Platters?

Please don't answer if you will tell me that its impossible - I know that the likelihood is very slim. But am hoping that somebody knows.

I do not know why I confront a difficult .when I switch on the
computer. Sometime just heard a beep and no response which
involve the monitor but if i do it in second time. All will back to normal. Generally I press the buttom second and several time to
switch on. What is the reason for that is it the button is lossing.

Can't believe a pro will ask this. Checked all my textbooks. Nothing. I was checking my CD-Drive (my default) and found out it wasn't responding to me. As if it recieves no power already. Checked the power cords from behind and found they're okay. CHecked "My Computer" and it dissapeared from drive directory. Needs serious help fast. Been using my USB External DVD-RAM Drive ever since, because it's my only DVD drive.

i recently bought a compaq presairio with 256 mb ram n 40gb hard disk. the prob is as soon as open my system i get a warning saying "u r system is shutting down save all ur work" it is also written something abt NT AUTHORITY.

My hard disks used to overheat. One hour, and they used to become so hot you couldn't touch them. Now I've opened up the cabinet on both sides and have placed a table fan (one foot in diameter) to blast the air out of the bloody cabinet. The air blows straight onto the disks and motherboard. The disks are now cool as cucumbers even with hours and hours of use! And the airflow seems OK - because air comes out from the other side of the cabinet.
Now my question is, if it's this simple (opening the cabinet and placing a table fan), what's all this hullaballoo about cooling??
