Finally my iTunes library is complete! I was so happy until i opened My Computer and realized I now have 706MB left. I nearley fainted! I couldn't understand why until I checked the properties of my iTunes library and its 25.6GB. Well my stinking laptop only has 34GB so I basically cant download much until I delete some media out of my library or something (Dont want to do that because most of it I paid for.) I have uninstalled all unnessacary programs from Add Or Remove Programs, and deleted all of unnessacary files from my computer but am still running low. Any suggestions to how I could make some more space would be grately appreciated.

Well i've never used itunes so i don't know how it works but i can give some suggestions,
firstly u could move the songs which u occassionally need to the internet or a storage device like a pen drive or a DVD.
u could compress ur files using a good software like winzip or winrar.

New hard drives are getting cheaper all the time; I'd look into an upgrade (bigger hard drive) as my first choice. If that's not a real option, then there are usually two other options when drive space is tight: compressing files and moving them to other media (like CDs or DVDs).

With some types of files you can "zip" them (which compresses them); unfortunately music files don't "compress" very well (they're already compressed), so you can't zip them up or shrink them.

That leaves moving them on and off your computer. You can take the songs that you don't listen to as much (but still don't want to delete and permanently lose) and copy them to a CD or DVD (if your laptop has a CD or DVD drive that can burn discs).

That will make some room for new songs that will be more frequently used, and you can retrieve your "old" stuff (from the CDs/DVDs) if you ever want to listen to some of those songs.

You don't have much choice here. As long as you are determined to keep 25.6Gb in Itunes, it doesn't matter what else you take off the hard drive. Add a flash drive, or an external hard drive, but your 34Gb HD is filled.

There is a couple of things that you can do but if itunes is using 25.6 almost 26 out of 34 plus around 5 that you used in Windows XP that leaves around 8G of useable space in theory. But in the real world in doesnt work like that. You might consider getting an external hardrive for your laptop, or if you have an old 10Gb or bigger hard drive, get an external enclosure for it, its cheaper.
Try defrag your hard drive. go to start, all programs, accessories, system tools, disk deframenter. click analyze and you can see how much space you can get if you defrag. good luck.
