You need a graphics card that either has s-video out or composite video first. Then you can pick a cable to run to the tv. But only if the tv takes s-video or composite cables in, if you want sound that's a whole other story.
Hope this helps,

depends on the connectors you have on our PC and TV.

A lot of Graphics cards have an s-video output (round with 4 holes in a semi-circle) and some a composite video connector (which uses a standard RCA connection).

You can buy a s-video cable or RCA cable depending on which you have.

On your TV it may have a s-video connection but will more usually have scart or composite, You just need the correct connections, would be easier with more information about what you have.

Some newer LCD and HDTV tvs are capable of beng connected to a computer using the standard monitor cables.

If you only want to use an old tv I'd advise against using it instead of a monitor

Depends on the type of hardware in your computer and the type of tv you're using. If you aren't sure about the connection type your hardware will support, refer to your user's manual or contact your hardware manufacturer.
If your PC and TV/monitor do not share a connection type, you may want to purchase an adapter to convert one end of the cable to a type you can use.

Most modern tvs have a 15 pin 'D' type socket which you can plug your PC or laptop into . On your PC or Laptop you will also find this connection usually labelled as - external monitor. The only thing you need to ensure is the gender of the connection on your PC or on your TV - it can be female ( socket ) or male ( pins )

WiFi provides internet connection only. Tele-signal is still through DTV cable.
