Of AMD & Intel Core Duo Processors which one is more advanced and which one is better?

My video glitches every so often and sometimes the monitor just shuts off. I know it is not the LCD because it has the same effect on on external LCD. Is it the motherboard or the video card that has the problem?

Help, I have a Gateway MX644 laptop. My dog bit through the power supply cord, and I went and bought a new one, a Targus universal which has an output amperage of 4.74A, and input of 1.5A. The old one had an output of 3.43A, and input 1.7A. Can I use it? What is the difference anyway between output amps and input amps? I'm useless at this sort of thing, just don't want the computer to blow ... any ideas? :(

Which of the processor is the best if I compare these 2?
I know it's unfair but the price for this 2 products' notebooks are quite similar. I plan to buy a notebook but don't know what to choose.
Turionx2 just come out to the market. But I still can't see any notebooks using this processor.

my computer lately has been acting weird.. knowingly i left my laptop on and then this morning it was at my log in screen.. so it reset itself.. how can this be? a computer resetting itself? has anyone else have this problem if so what can i do so my computer won't reset itself ?

I've heard rumors about overheating is this true? I have a friend who has had a laptop for over two years and he runs his nonstop and it works as good as the day he brought it home. So what is all this talk about overheating? Just Bullshi t?

I fixed my problem of no sound by reloading everything back on my computer. I would like to get the speaker icon on the system tray, I thought it went on there automatically but it didn't.

I am trying to sync my Palm with my laptop but the IR port on my laptop is not workinging. My palm will beam to other PDA's becuase I have done it since trying to sync. On the device manager it does not show an IR port (or i am looking in the wrong place). Any advice? Message or e-mail me if you need more information.

I just got my old (but really only 3 months old!) laptop back from Gateway so now I must decide which laptop to keep. The Gateway or the Toshiba I bought 3 weeks ago while waiting for gateway to fix the other one.

The Gateway is as follows:
Turion 64 ML-32 (1.8 ghz)
1024 mb ram
15.4 widescreen
100 gig hd
ati radeon xpress 200
wifi
dl dvd burner

The Toshiba is as follows:
Pentium M 740 (1.73 ghz)
512 mb ram
14.1 widescreen
80 gig hd
dl dvd burner
s-video out

I like them both but can't afford to keep them both. So one must go. I like both of them for different reasons. I like the toshiba because it has the s-video and the smaller size. I like the gateway for the extra ram, larger screen. i don't know which one to keep!

i recently bought a macbook, downloaded limewire, trashed limewire, trashed all my itunes songs from limewire, and my computer is supposed to be superfast with the intel technology and whatever, but it's so slow, it can't even run safari & itunes @ the same time, wtf? what do i need to make it faster, i have cable internet, and i recently bought a router, but it's not helping @ all! i run disk utility, i even took it to the mac store? what's up. i only use my mac book to check e-mail, watch dvd's and play music. isn't that the bare minimum, this laptop should be able to handle that much, right?

i can see Dell Inspiron 6400 and Dell E1505 with all same configuration, but there is a small diffrence in price. Do anybody have an idea, what is diffrence between both and which one is better?

I need fast rendering and somthing that will work well with audio. I'll be saving alot of my stuff on an external drive and will be trying to get alot of work based on this computers performance. I'm not to comp savy so If anyone can direct me to publications or other sites that have user comments that would be awesome.
