A hard drive cannot be made "bigger", it can only be replaced with a larger capacity drive.
Then you must move your files and programs from the old drive to the new drive.

Similarly, the graphics card can be removed and replaced with a more capable one.

If you are not comfortable opening up your computer, I suggest you find a reputable Computer Guy. 8-)

if this is a lap top computer then sadly the grapics card can not be changed, you will need to buy a new computer.
however if this is a desktop style PC simply select the type of graphics card that you require an AGP or a PCI based card.
then when you have it open the case and locate the card the monitor plugs into typicaly if your existing card is AGP then this is the board nearest the top of the case when the case is standin in a tower case or the one nearest the power supply.
before you go touching any PC components make sure that you are properly earthed using an anti-static wrist strap available from most good pc hardware retailers.
the card should be eaasy to remove for a PCI card it should pull straight up and out by up i mean with the pc laying on its side up would be pulling it out of the case and not any other directiions.
with an AGP slot there is typicaly a little clip or pin at the back of the card (the end nearest the Hard drive bays) it may need a bit of jiggling to remove it.

As for the hard drive for a lap top you can EASILY get hold of a new 2.5" drive see www.dabs.com for a full list of products.
as for the desktop PC again hard drives are available but you neet to check what type of drive your system will support. PATA or EIDE (confusing as PATA and EIDE on most systems are interchangeable) if your drive supports the faster SATA format then i recomend you upgrade to this.
if you do scrap your 2.5" drive from your laptop you can get drive enclosers to allow you to keep using the drive as an external drive connected via the USB, these enclosures are not limited to 2.5" you can get a 3.5" and a 5.25"

I hope this helps a little.
