Does this mean I may have issues with my computer in the future? My last two laptops "died" within a year and they had similar problems in the beginning.
Thanks!

This is because the CMOS batter on the motherboard has died, this battery is used to keep a small current going through the EPROM that stores the BIOS settings. it will either be a large watch style battery that sits in a socket on the motherboard, or it is a laptop there will be a small battery back that is usually located under the touch pad or right around it.

There is a LITHIUM BATTERY INSIDE your PC to keep BIOS alive. Now if this BATTERY is not charged then this happens. Replace the BATTERY and all will be fine.
