Video card problems perhaps.. or monitor problems. it could be either, how old is the computer? youlll need a tech for this one

It sounds like the monitor, but it could be the video card. Does the whole computer shut down? You might be overheating. Best bet is to connect the computer to another monitor and see if the problem goes away.

Monitors cannot be fixed, you might have to buy a new one.

See your local computer guy. I loan monitors to customers who have this type of problem so they can see if it's their monitor and not the video card.

probably the cable from the laptop to the lcd screen
