my hard disk is right now 10GB my processor is pentium 2 i m havin ibm laptop plz. tell me how can i upgrade this

I just need a graphics card with 3-D capabilities, and preferably 1 gig of memory... I'm not an expert but I know enough to know that'd be a good amount of ram to run stuff like photoshop, a graphics tablet, and media player... (at the same time) I'm also willing to understand if I really don't need that much ram.

In other words, a nice desktop replacement... for around $1000? give or take a few hundred.

I just bought this Acer laptop, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16834115246 and I have had ZERO issues with it. So, their tech support isn't great, I have no need for that, I do my own.

I recently got a macbook pro, and installed boot camp and Windows XP to it. It starts up fine, and I installed all the mac drivers as it tells you to do. But there is no sound. The computer says there is no sound device under the device manager. I found the actual sound drivers in the program files, and clicked set-up. It goes through something and then says to restart the computer. When I did that it went back to the program and said the system would not recognize those drivers. I did some google searches and couldn't find anything about the sound not working (just that if you hook up headphones to it while in XP, the mac's speakers will still play audio). So, anyone have any clue how I can get the sound to work on the Windows XP side of my Macbook Pro?

Im usin an Acer 2410 TravelMate series notebokk with a LiteOn Charging thingee i dont know who made my ISP(Inline Surge Protector) but i bought everything in India. My Charging thingee is a Model No PA 1650-02 Input 100-240V Im in NY,USA right now this happened this morning. I unplugged everything and the smoke stopped. I tried it without the ISP. Now it works perfectly. What do i do?

I was worried that my laptop was overheating, so i got a utility (SpeedFan) that monitors the internal temp. I also tried this on my brother's desktop. Both seem to run at about 100 deg F when doing minimal tasks (like browsing the web) in a room with an ambient temp of about 72 F. 100 is a bit hotter than I expected, but it seems normal on both. My question though is how hot is TOO hot??

Ok, so I'm buying a tablet PC very soon. I'm hesitating between two tablets, a Gateway and a Toshiba. The Gateway can be seen in the link below:

The Toshiba one is not available online but here are the main differences between both:

- Toshiba has 512 MB RAM, Gateway has 1 GB.
- Gateway is Vista enabled, Toshiba is not.
- Toshiba costs 1800 $CDN, Gateway costs 1500$ CDN
- And obviously, the brand.

I never used Gateway before. Toshiba is known to me to be extremely reliable... but Gateway seems to be like a better deal... I am so confused, HELP!!!

What can I do in Device Manager if I wanna uninstall the graphics card (which section should I go?) as 1/3 of the monitor goes white. There's nothing wrong with the monitor but the graphics card itself.

When I log-off my computer, there are 2 or 3 consecutive pop-ups that ask me to end the program. I have no idea what programs they are.....(some sort of initals maybe like this : .sft.tff). Should I just ignore them? Or should I attempt to fix this issue?

I have a hp laptop (zx5000 series) and it's Li-ion batterty is an hp battery from series : HSTNN-YB02 (for use with series of PP2200 OR PP2210 family of computer products). After working for more than 1 years now my battery starts to de-charge very quickly and it doesn't work as previous. I want to know How can I resurrect it's charging and working ability again ? The drive will not open. If I open it manually, and put a disc in, it does not recognize that there is a disc in it. Device manager says it's running properly. I'm not sure if I have any kind of warranty, since I bought it at CostCo. It's less than a year old. What should I do? Toshiba's website was no help at all.
