When I log-off my computer, there are 2 or 3 consecutive pop-ups that ask me to end the program. I have no idea what programs they are.....(some sort of initals maybe like this : .sft.tff). Should I just ignore them? Or should I attempt to fix this issue?

try running a full system virus scan and a spy ware scan...

if that didnt track those files, go to START->RUN type MSCONFIG select the START UP tab, search for the file that`s causing the problem, un check the file give OK and select RESTART from the next pop up that appears.....

Even though you don't run them, there are running programs (or processes) that run automatically to provide services like virus and spyware protection, network connections, timers, IMs (like Yahoo's), etc. If this happens frequently, it might mean these processes are taking longer than usual to shut off, maybe because you're running low on memory, or because there's some spyware running. Have you noticed your computer running slow?

You should have updated antivirus & antispyware programs, and run virus & spyware scans. Try running a full service scan at Windows Live Safety Center (http://safety.live.com/site/en-US/default.htm).

If the problem is not corrected, try adding more RAM. Meanwhile, just ignore the pop-ups.

These are system processes that are being used by a program. They are probobly not spyware.

A way to make your computer skip right by any program that hasn't ended yet automatically is to go to start>run and type regedit.

Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop
then find the AutoEndTasks key and change the value to 1
Then find the WaitToKillAppTimeout key and change the value to 2000.

Then reboot
