Hard Disk: If you buy a hd which is more than 20GB, i think it would not be recognised by ur bios. My suggestion is to by a laptop hd of any size (may be >400GB also) with a case which will convert your ide hd to usb, so u can use this has a external hdd while ur 10gb would be inside ur laptop. In future if u go on to buy a new laptop u can still continue using this.
CPU: It is merely impossible to fix a P3 or P4 processore into it. Might be celeron would work, i'm not sure. If you r happy with ur system speed for the kind of applications that ur using, then consider only upgrading RAM upto the maximum limit of ur MB.

Your hard drive is seriously only 10 GB? Go anywhere and get a better one. Try toshiba.com and buy an 80 GB. They have a laptop one that can fit (perfectly) in an ipod (upgrade your ipod!) for $100.00 . Take it apart and do it yourself if you think you won't mess anything up. Otherwise, there are many people who can. Depending on what kind of laptop you have, you can probably send it in to have them do it for an added fee.

Hey, your computer is pretty much outdated. Upgrading any laptop is rather expensive/nearly impossible and it's just best to buy a new one.
There are laptops these days that start at 500 and would perform much than what you have right now. Check Dell, always has good deals.

well somehow the answere is simple. buy a new hard disk(for a lap top, of course) next check your mother board. at times there are mother boards that do not accept any processor. you have to check the compatibility of those stuff. you would also want to upgrade your RAM memory buy a new one.. then you your self could install it in your computer. but if you are not really familiar with doing it, try consulting people who have expertise in it. its a complicated matter

Pretty much you can't. You could, if you really wanted to spend some serious time trying to do it (hard drive isn't so hard, but cpu is near impossible) but it's pointless. A pentium 2 laptop is worth nothing.

Motherboards in laptops are proprietary, the chip is built in, so that aint gonna happen but changing hard drives is easy.
