Rebooting can be a sign of overheating, faulty memory or a virus.

If you don't run anti spy ware & anti virus I would recommend you do that first. One way or another you need them.

Download AVG anti Virus free here –

Download Microsoft Defender free here - http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/default.mspx

Download AdAware free here –

With those three programs your computer will be pretty secure from viruses, ad ware, spyware & malware

If your computer still reboots open the case & make sure your fans are operating and the vent holes are clear.

Good luck.

If it is windows it could have simply upgraded via Internet and then restarted itself to install the updates. It happens if you don't tell it not to within 5 min. of update.

Based on what you are saying. It's tough to determine what the trouble is. You didn't say whether or not you're making use of High pace or dial or wi-fi. If you're making use of a wi-fi web, it would be sign barrier trouble. If you're making use of High pace, it would be spyware and adware trouble, if dial up, would be bandwidth trouble. If you have been making use of you laptop adequate earlier than. I do not feel it is laptop trouble. Modem energy surge trouble may be viable.

I've seen Windows computers do it a lot. Generally, it's not the hardware, but faulty programming in Windows. I really hate Windows. Can you tell? Love the Mac.

Your processor could be overheating. You need to reset the standby options for low power usage.
