I am trying to sync my Palm with my laptop but the IR port on my laptop is not workinging. My palm will beam to other PDA's becuase I have done it since trying to sync. On the device manager it does not show an IR port (or i am looking in the wrong place). Any advice? Message or e-mail me if you need more information.

There is an IR port, it is visable on the front of the computer plus the book says that is what it is. Whatever you tell me to do, please tell me how to do it also.

Once again I DO HAVE AN IR PORT! It is directly on the front of my laptop and is visable to the nacked eye. I CAN SEE IT. (Smile) thank you for your help.

I don't think you have an IR port (because it's not showing on your device manager). Sometimes manuals are made for 2 or 3 models, which differ very little. Check your model very well.

do you really have an IR port? anyway go to BIOS then enable fastIR once you've done this an icon in the control panel for the ir should come out then enable the IR there and align both devices
