Is there a new apple imac suppose to be out this year? i was thinkng of buying one but i dont want to buy it if as soon as i buy it a newer version comes out or something....any one know?

I know they're both made by the same company and these two computers have alot of same features but the only thing I see different is the processor brand for the
compaq is Intel® Pentium® 4 with HT Technology with a ATI RADEON XPRESS 1100 graphics card and the HP is AMD Athlon(TM) 64 X2 with NVIDIA GeForce 6150 LE graphics. Both have 1gb of ram. which do you suggest?

i know you go into control panel and add remove programs but i have a few programs (the sims for one) that no matter how many times i try and delete, it just wont budge.. there is also a few more mainly games all help much apreiated thanks

So my old motherboard is fried and need to replace it? Is this whole mother board replacing bussiness to much to deal with? Should i just get a new computer?

drive to it, the hard drive inside is a SATA 250GB and the one im planning to install is ata Eide, question is can i do that, There r bunch of drive connectors on the mother board, called acer tech guy, quite a junior tech, told me he will get back to me , m waiting for his call

I have used every type of cleaner I can think of (anti spy, virus, popup blocker, registry cleaner, system tools fixer, fire wall, defraging) but it is just way to slow still. I got it new a year ago and I am only using %30 of my hard drive. I delieted all music, pics and video but still nothing. I keep getting "not responding" on any program that I use and my high speed net conection runs like a snail. If I let it sit for a few minutes than the nonresponsive programs finally come to life and start working. The strart up and shut down are even slower and even right clicking the desktop backround takes a while to load up that little window. Last I keep getting these errors that ask me to debug but I dont know what that means. any help will be much appresiated. thank you in advance.

Suddenly today it started running very slow. Im not sure what to do to try and fix it. I ran Ad-Aware SE and quarantined it 3 times. Also when I open up task manager it says i have 60 processes, is that high? Im not even sure what they are. Any suggestions?

I recently bought a new case for my computer. I successfully switched all of the components over and hit the power switch on the new case, and got nothing. Afterwards, I realized that I made two mistakes. I forgot to use the riser screws that lift the motherboard up from the surface of the case, and I had used a power screwdriver that had magnetized bits. Did I just damage my motherboard?

I bought from Tiger Direct 2-3 years ago a Systemax AMD 64 bit computer that has 1 gig of memeory. I think it is upgradeable to 3 (not the 2 or 4 your would think) but I can confirm cause I cant figure out what motherboard I have. I am not good enought to take hardware apart. I need a different answer. Help!

I'm trying to update my ASUS P4P800 Deluxe motherboard BIOS (As I have hang ups while installing XP SP2). I installed win XP SP1 and downloaded latest asus update utility, it gave me a choice to update bios from internet, I took it. Now for half an hour Asus update utility is not responding, I clearly hear that it is doing something in my PC box (strange sound a bit different from hard disk). Basically, I don't know if it is normal, how long should I wait or just kill the process. What happens to my BIOS?
