drive to it, the hard drive inside is a SATA 250GB and the one im planning to install is ata Eide, question is can i do that, There r bunch of drive connectors on the mother board, called acer tech guy, quite a junior tech, told me he will get back to me , m waiting for his call

On older MicroATX style motherboards, there is only ONE connection for a SATA drive possible. I can only assume that this is your situation. Internally, that is. There are plenty of manufacturers that produce external HDDs that have a high capacity. Look into that.

While you're waiting for "the guy" to get back to you... You can go to this link and download and run Belarc Advisor.

Ut will give you very detailed information about everyhting in your computer, including your motherboard's ID, manufacturer, etc. Once you have that, you can go to the motherboard's manufacturer's website and look up your motherboard's specifications.
