I have used every type of cleaner I can think of (anti spy, virus, popup blocker, registry cleaner, system tools fixer, fire wall, defraging) but it is just way to slow still. I got it new a year ago and I am only using %30 of my hard drive. I delieted all music, pics and video but still nothing. I keep getting "not responding" on any program that I use and my high speed net conection runs like a snail. If I let it sit for a few minutes than the nonresponsive programs finally come to life and start working. The strart up and shut down are even slower and even right clicking the desktop backround takes a while to load up that little window. Last I keep getting these errors that ask me to debug but I dont know what that means. any help will be much appresiated. thank you in advance.

Even deep scans from three diffrent programs have not found any viruses or spyware or anything else.

get a new one. hahahaha
you should use the system restore.
turn your computer off then turn it back on but this time press f11 contantly then the system restore screen should come up. put restore to last best known configuration then just follow the rest of the steps. it wont erase anything you have saved.

If you're sure there's no spyware nor viruses, you may have a hardware problem. This could be an overheating CPU or could be a hard disk error.

Make sure the can on your CPU (if you have one) is spinning and make sure the fan on the power supply is also working.

Have you run a scandisk/chkdsk on the drive? Run that and ask it to fix problems. It it reports issues with the drive that it fixed, that may be only a partial fix. If there's physical damage, you can't fix that short of buying a new drive.

Do you have enough memory? How many apps do you have loading at startup? Maybe you've got too many and not enough RAM.

Deleting pictures and videos wont do anything, your issue is running tasks......

2 things.
Adjust your virtual memory.
Click on start, click on my computer. Click properties, now click the "advanced" tab, next to performance is settings, click this button.
Click advanced, next to virtual memory click "change". If you have enough room on your hard drive, check the "custom" setting, and set the minimum to 2000 and the max to 2500, now click "set",click ok to close the window, then apply on the next window and click ok, thats a total of 2 1/2 gigs of virtual memory......

Step 2, stop any unnecessary programs from running at startup, like messenger, or whatever you dont want to start.
Click the start button, click on run, and type msconfig. Click on the "startup" button, and uncheck anything you dont want to run. Just dont uncheck anything that says C:\windows, your looking for programs you installed, C:\programs.......

Alternatively try this online benchmarking program, its free to sign up, and if you dont want to, you can still run the program..its free! It will tell you the overall performance of your pc......and what you can benefit from, and what might be wrong...

Hope this helps you out.....you may want to invest in more ram also....
