Sounds like you have a fatal error and is set for automatic restart.Start your PC and tap f8 until safe mode screen comes up.Select safe mode with the up arrow.Hit enter, then go to control panel and click on system.Click on the advanced tab and then click on start up and recovery.Click on settings ,then uncheck automatic restart.You can all so run system restore from safe mode.

maybe over heating, more info
if it shutdown right after you start the computer, it's probably the processor fan or the fan that's connected directly to the motherboard?

It could be whole lot of reasons. But my first guess is a virus. If you've done the virus scan, then I would say it's a CPU overheating problem.
Check that out from pressing "del" button when the pc starts up.

As ASh said, could be many things, so we need more nfo.
Could be Bad RAM, a bad power supply, a faulty periperhal that's shorting out and the power supply shuts down in order to proctect itself, etc, etc...

it might be a system error ...u should try system restore (Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore) and restore ur pc to an earlier point.
if the error still persisits then u must catch ur hardware vendor
