Hey,
I want to update my graphics card as i cant play some games which require pixel shaders and don't get good framrates on some games.

However i have a pretty old processor:

Amd athlon xp, 1.25Ghz, x12.5, 1.5volts

Nvidia GeForce fx 5200, 128mb, agp 8x

I doubt i can have pci-e cards,
so is it worth upgrading my graphics card or not?

I've found this: http://www.microdirect.co.uk/ProductInfo.aspx?ProductID=15217&GroupID=331

but obviously i dont want to buy it if it doesnt make a noticable difference.

Thanks,
Luke.

my laptop is having lots of problems right now, the right arrow key is messed up and gone, the left shift key is messed up and missing, its to slow, the cd r/w/dvd r/w drive is broken and not working.

so,
it would be allot of money to buy all that stuff and the computer will really only last like another year cuz its like 3-4 years old right now.

i really wanted to get a mac at first but i have heard that windows vista is really great, can people that have used windows vista suggest a new computer not over $1000 dollars!!

I have a Dell Dimenstion 9200 Dell Capable pc currently running XP Home. I was planning on buying Vista in around 4 months or so (When the next editions are released).

However I have just been informed that Dell PC's can not have Vista installed on them. I was going to buy Vista Home Premium Upgrade however have been informed that in order to install Vista on a Dell system, I need to fork out an extra £100 for the full Vista Home Premium.

Dell have been very unhelpful (as normal) with this matter so can some one please sort this out.

What version do I need:

Vista Home Premium Upgrade

or

Vista Home Premium Full

I've been working to fix this semi-old computer. When I start it up, there's a message on the screen that it says there's not operating system on the hard drive when I just reformatted it with no problem and Windows loaded and ran just fine. But then we moved the harddrive back to it's place and it started coming up with the same message. I've tried all different jumper combinations which worked earlier for it, but now they're not working. So we tried to reformat the hard drive again, and it says there's not hard drive attached to the computer. So all that to say: I NEED HELP!!!
