I would say, no.

Computing technology is moving and expanding at a very rapid rate. Depending on how old your computer is, you may be surprised to find that the system you payed £1000s for a few years ago is now only worth £100s.

On the other hand, many computer retailers are always looking for spare parts for systems that may need an upgrade.

It all depends on the store/retailer really. Try asking anyway, you never know.

I wouldn't trade it in . Depending on how old your computer is you may be able to add some of the parts ie.hard drive , memory to your new computer . Or keep as a spare incase anything happens to your new one :)
