Yes, they would work, as long as your computer is rated for at least 4gb.. otherwise, if it's only rated for 2, it wouldn't...
Just make sure that you are using the right speeds, and types of ram sticks..

Yes. The RAM will probably operate at the lowest speed of any of the sticks so unless you are planning on going all the way to 4gb, don't bother spending for extra speed on the 2gb.

Yes, but all those RAM sticks must be the same type. You can look at the "sources lists" below. Besides that you're good to go :)

it would work, but not as efficiently as properly paired RAM modules. You are better off using matching pairs for speed, but you can mix them up so long as the memory is compatible with your system.
Check what the maximum on board RAM your system can take first.
