In my opinion, i think Mac's are better than Pc's. I have the OS X Tiger software and i think it is way better than my previous PC.

I think Macs have better graphics

easier to operate

better memory

way less crashing if not none at all

can't get any viruses

fast internet and other things

i like the tool bar at the bottom

you can also downlaod microsoft things like word, excel, all that stuff

and it's easy to fix something on a mac if you messed it up.

So let us hear about your opinoins on macs and pc's.

I have a custom built gaming computer I purchased a couple of years ago for $5000. I'm getting ready to purchase a new one and would like to get an idea of how much to sell it for. It has an ASUS A8N SLI Deluxe motherboard with an AMD Athalon 64 FX-55 2.61 GHz processor. 1GB of RAM, Two 150GB hard drives running RAID stripping so it sees it as one 300GB hard drive. Dual (2) nVIDIA 7800 GTX video cards running SLI and a 650 watt power supply. I'm not sure what type of sound card I have. The only other thing is a DVD ROM drive and an aluminum Shark case. Thanks in advance for your help!

Its an E-machines desktop computer model T3306. it is about a year old, when we turn the computer on, it tries to load and gives this message :
intel undi, pxe- 2.1 (build 082)
copyright (c) 1997- 2000 intel corporation

for realtek rtl8139(x)/8130/810x PCI fast ethernet controller v2.16 (041224)

client mac addr: 00 40 CA A9 82 68 GUID : FFFFFFFF-FFFF-FFFF-FFFF-FFFFFFFFFFFF
PXE-E53: no boot filename received

PXE-MOF : EXISTING PXE ROM.
DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER

This is right after it says verify bmi pool data i beleive. and it gets through that step and that is the next step it takes.

When it did this before, I went and pressed F8 and started from the last known good configuration and it loaded. now when i try to get back there, when i press F8, it doesnt even acknowledge that i pressed it. it will work for F2 and F10, but when i press F8 it continues on its regular path as if ive pressed nothing. can anyone help me?

I have a Windows XP. I just recently turned off the computer and it had the little shield next to the shut down button meaning that it had to download something. Well, I left a little while later and it said like "the memory could not be read" and a bunch of numbers and letters. I clikcked okay and for a few minutes it did nothing. So i held down the power button to turn it off. I turned it back on and it didnt start right Now when Start it up, i can get to my desktop and my icons and bottom bar, but when I try to open any program, the hour glass keeps spining around and around and around for a long time. I'm not very intellegent with computers. Please help!

I finished building a comp for my sis last week. After booting to the XP desktop, CTRL-alt_del, performance tab. The processor is running @ 70-90%. When you try to open a program such as media player the comp reacts slowly. This is built on a Gigabyte GA-K8NF-9 board with an AMD Athlon 64 3500 cpu, 1GB dual channel ddr400 memory, nvidia based pcie video card 512mb.

Any ideas? Maybe a bad MB? Does anyone know of a free board diagnostic program and where to find it?

Recently built new 'puter and first time using ASUS motherboard. Really like it. Is a P4S800D-X. Everything works good on it, but when I shut it off, and go to restart it later, it says that I have to enter BIOS and select proper boot device. And when I go in there, the HDD does not register right away. When it does, it is greyed out and says new device detected, please reboot. So then I do and I gotta go select the HDD to boot from again, then I hit F10 to save and exit, but it never saves, still gotta do all that over again. Any Help please!! Thank You.
