I think that your asking the wrong question. Maybe you are asking "what amount of memory will make my computer faster"?
If you are seeing 800.000kb that's quite odd because memory reported on your computer is not in even thousands, as there are 1,024,000 bytes in one Megabyte and 1024 bytes in one Kilobyte. This is because of the binary nature of digital memory.
The more memory the better (most of the time) but there are exceptions. Windoze assigns memory allocations in the "high" memory, it sets this off as untouchable by other programs. It then uses the memory from a top down (even though it looks like its going the other way) but will keep using the same memory spots over and over rather than parsing it out. UNIX and Linux parse out the memory kernels so as to use all of the memory installed. I don't know about OS (Apples) systems. Any more than about 1 Gigabyte is wasted on Windoze.
Memory speed has nothing to do with the size of the memory, it has to do with the rise and fall times of the transistors used to gate it.
Hope this helped.

Kb and Mb is just a measurement of the capacity of the memory stick. Thats like asking if teaspoons are better than tablespoons when cooking. Its no difference, just a measurement.
Kb means Kilobyte and Mb means Mega byte. The kilo means 3 zeros, 1,000 equal 1 Kb. Mega refers to 6 zeros (like million), so 1,000,000 would be 1Mb
Check out http://www.convert-me.com/en/convert/computer to convert various forms of Kilo, bytes, Megabytes, terabytes, etc

mb and kb represent size not speed. Although, the larger the memory the better your pc will operate. You should have at least 512 mb of memory these days for even the most basic of computers. You can go to crucial.com and run their free memory test. They will tell you exactly what you have and how much more memory you can add.

kb and mb are not types of memory but are measurements of memory.
Kilobyte=1,000 bytes
Megabyte=1,000 kilobytes
So 800,000 kb=800 mb
