which chipset for the E6600?

i want to get an MSI Platinum 975X Express, but i could save 30 bucks getting the MSI Platinum P965 - which chipset is better suited for a conroe and which overclocks better? thanks

The P965 overclocks better and is more stable. Go with it for sure.

I got a P965 and have my E6600 @ 3.2 running on water.
I might be able to go higher, I never tried.

Edit: idle 25c, 32c with load.
