when i try to turn my computer on while my modem (external) is on at the same time my computer will turn on but theres nothing on the screen and i dont hear the windows xp chime BUT if i have my modem off and turn my computer THEN turn the modem on ,it works just fine . WHATS GOING ON ?!?!

There are certain computer systems which use more than 1 processor.
In every desktop pc there is only one processor.
So the Question is can I attach more than 1 processor to a single PC and acquire the power of two processors simultaneously
(eg. one p4 3.2 ghz chip and another p4 3.0 ghz chip)

i delete some partition,but extended dos partition i cant delete..then i deside to reboot my computer..then after that,,when i type fdisk in startup disk,,there is a error...ERROR READING FIXED DISK...i cant continue to format my hard disk..because of that error..pls. help me

i have been trying to build a computer. i managed to put it together but i can't see anything on the screen. the cpu fan is working so is the power supply. but i don't get that beep sound. any advice?

Is the purpose for permanent storage? Based on my reading it's best to save a document first to hard drive, then to CD-ROM for permanent storage, and is formatting the CD for data preparation necessary or can I just insert the CD and save. Is this true? Also, how can I retrieve the files from Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint, etc. I can't retrieve any files or save any files directly from Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc. using the CD. I have a Dell Dimension E310, and I can't determine which drive is which. Whenever I insert a CD, I get the error messages, "Selected drive not in use" or "No access to E:/ see network administrator." I don't have an admnistrator. What's the problem? Please, please explain.

I have an HP computer with a Plextor PX-708A DVD R/RW CD R/RW. The drive was working fine and now will only play a DVD and will not play a cd or write a cd or dvd. All setting are good cables are good uninstalled and reinstalled the drive in the properties tab of the drive says the drive is working normally. Any help?

I'd like to see if I can overclock my P4 1.5 Ghz 400 Mhz FSB PC.
I know you have to be carefull not to overdo it... I'd try 2 Ghz tops. I found a list on the net that says this CPU is fine to 2.2 Ghz.

Please base this answers off of personal preference and what you have seen from reviews. Im using the Asus P5NSLI, I don't really like it, the northbridge gets so hot, I'm pretty sure after 5 minutes i could cook an egg on it, and yes i have sufficient fan and cooling in my box
