MAC has its advantages in the world of Art. Graphic designers use it almost exclusely.
But sharing data, documents in the business world means PC (IBM). With the PC, you get people that are trained on standardized tools. You reach 90 percent of the computer literacy and funtionality.
From a security point of view, the MAC wins. Many people that use MACs on-line simply don't have anti-virus programs. MAC users don't even know what SpyWare is.
So it all depends on what you intend to do with it.
Many of the NUTS and BOLTS differences has nothing to do with what the USER wants. So what do you want in a computer?

Macintosh is easier to use then a PC, The problem with Mac is that it is hard to open a few websites since many are made just for PC. Macs also get less virus' and less popups than PCs. Overall after you have a mac, you never go back.

Nowadays, just a small BIOS code that prevents MacOS from running on non-Mac PCs. And the fact that MacOS now runs on Intel hardware - basically, your standard PC (plus that BIOS code).
