HI, I want to bring CD file back to desktop, and I copied adn pasted it, but only the icon has copied, not the whole data. Anyone can help me?

When you have the CD in the drive, right clink on the file you want to copy, and then drag it. When you let go it will give you some choices, including "copy here".

Open CD window, press right mouse button and drag icon to desktop, submenu, copy here.

ok make a new folder on the desktop , right click the desktop then click on new/new folder
then open the folder
now go to the cd drive with the cd in open that
on the cd drive click on edit/select all
then click on edit /copy
then go to the new folder
click on edit /paste
and all the files will copy over to the new folder

If you saved something to your cd, and all you get is when you drag them off is icons, then you saved only icons on the cd or shortcuts.

If all you get is icon, I am afraid that's what you have on the CD just icons.
