Wright click the yahoo home page and select "Set as desktop item."

Go to start/all programs. Find Yahoo! in the list. Right click and a selection box will appear where you can select 'send to' desktop or create shortcut. An icon will be placed on your desktop.

on your yahoo page, hit FILE, SEND TO, DESK AS SHORTCUT
