On Thursday I bought myself a desktop PC from the PC World website. When I bought it, I was quickly told that my order was in processing, and I would get an email confirming that it's been sent.

It's now Monday, and i still haven't recieved any confirmation that my PC has been dispatched, or any updates on my order for that matter. Is this just their normal process, and should I expect an update in the next few days.

And how will it be before they dispatch my order?

Sony Vaio - desktop PCV-RX550. Came with 256 mb, SDRAM, expandable to 512 - which I have already done. Is there any way I can add more memory (such as external card or drive) without changing the mother board. Computer works great, and I hate to have to upgrade just to get more memory! Thanks in advance!

I was finishing one of the automatic updates, for Windows XP SP2. I rebooted and as I got to the log in screen... my USB port randomly stopped working. All of the other 5 works, but that one. I didn't change anything to it.

Also, I noticed it worked before the login screen, but it didn't when it reached that screen.

I'm trying to buy a new desktop, and I want to get a decent amount of CPU speed that won't be outdated tomorrow. Right now my laptop is running out of speed to play the new games I am hankering for, so I am researching.

My old computer speakers don't work anymore, but I do have a pair of speakers which plug into headphone jacks. I tried plugging them into the green speaker port and I got no sound. My CDRW drive has a headphone jack but I got no results with that either. Is there a special adapter I can buy for it? Thanks.

compare to other processors? If you could, give me a list in order of processors from best to worse, so I will know how mine stacks up to others. Your help is greatly appreciated.
