Okay-
Number One-
If you bought a new motherboard and processor it should have come with step by step instructions with what needed to be done. But, remember to make sure that you have a anti-static strap on that is grounded. First thing that you should do after the motherboard and processor are in place properly is to start connecting the peripherals. Connect the proper fans (i.e. cpu, intake, and exhaust). Hard drive is the next thing to be connected ensuring that is it connected properly (i.e. ide cable or serial connection). Next step, installing the memory ensuring that the dimms choosen are not overated for the motherboard (i.e. the motherboard only supports up to 400 MGz). Next, go ahead and hookup or connect your video card if you don't have an onboard video. If you have anything else that you feel is necessary (i.e. sound card) go ahead and install that as well. Then connect your media (i.e. cd-rom, burner, dvd player, etc.). Do a quick overview of all components ensuring that all are properly in place and sufficent power is also connected. Once you have done that power up the pc.
Second, assuming that you took the hard drive and carried it over to your upgraded pc windows is going to automatically inform you that certain components have changed and you need to re-enter your COA and re-register. You can do this step at any time within 30 days. Pop in the driver disc for your motherboard and install the drivers. At that point you should have to restart your system bear in mind, not all drivers on a disc for a motherboard are up-to-date. So ensure that you get all up-to-date drivers for the motherboard and processor, also make sure that you update your bios as well. Do a quick overview of all hardware and software that you currently have installed on your computer. Do your best to update all components for hardware and software.
Please keep in mind:
The memory from your old motherboard may not be compatable with the new motherboard. Do your research before purchasing new memory. Another note, your power supply may be an issue, look at the specifications of everything you have installed to ensure that your power supply is capable of keeping up with your new pc.
This is just a helpful tip and general overview of what to do....
Remember that upgrading your motherboard and cpu does not always ensure a faster and better computer
Hope this helps!

If you are asking what order you are connecting them in then it doesn't matter.
You just need to make sure you have a hard drive, memory, graphics card and power supply as the basic components. Anything else such as sound card, modem etc is not usually necessary for the function of the pc.
After all the hardware components have been fitted, you can boot up the PC from the CDROM and put in the operating system CD. It will then go through the steps for installing your OS.

Install all drivers that come with motherboard, i'm sure that there must be an CD.
After you restart your, if you have windows XP it will ask you to reactivate winxp because of major hardware change you may have to call microsoft so they can give you a new key.
There will be a screen on how to do it step by step.
Besides that you are golden

warning, be careful and dont develop a static charge touch the chasis of the laptop earlier any factors. next, the strategies should not be lost in view that your no longer messing with the complicated tension. Ram is elementary, open the clips on the facets eject the previous sticks and in bypass the hot. The CPU and MoBo are slightly trickier, and that i reccomend Google a Tech help internet site, and YouTube, emphasis on YouTube as you will see how that's finished.
