My old computer speakers don't work anymore, but I do have a pair of speakers which plug into headphone jacks. I tried plugging them into the green speaker port and I got no sound. My CDRW drive has a headphone jack but I got no results with that either. Is there a special adapter I can buy for it? Thanks.

Well there are larger adapters but if you have a 3.5mm jack (normal) there should be no problem. Try and Fiddle with your sound bars or make sure your earphones are working but it should work fine.
Hope it helps...

You should be able to use your headphones in the green audio out port in the rear of your computer. Is the sound turned up? Do the headphones work? Is The audio port disabled? Is mute on? try some of these things and see if it works.

They should work.... check to make sure your volume control isn't set to mute. Or go to your control panel>System>Hardware>Device Manager to see if there are any problems with your sound card.

Should be no need! So, once you plug in, mostly it can produce the sound from your ear-phone!
