i need some help in choosing a good pci graphics card for a game (counter-strike:source), only problem is it has to be under $150

Is my battery completely dead, or did I get some virus? It does nothing when I try to turn it on only under battery power. Yes, it says the battery is charged.

I have a KT4AV motherboard (VIA KT400A Chipset Based). In the manual, it says it accepts PC2700 sticks of RAM, up to 1GB in each of the 3 slots it has, totaling to 3GB (obviously). I just bought 3 Patriot memory sticks at 1GB each and having all 3 of them in, windows gets stuck on the loading screen,basially just freezes. I rested everything, so none of the sticks are faulty and each of the slots works fine. 2 sticks work together but not all 3. They are all the same model, brand, and size. I even ordered them all at the same time. Anyone have any idea why it does not work? I couldnt find anything in the bios that could potentially solve the problem.

Look, I am not much of a computer hardware kind of guy but I have this logitech usb ......something, it looks like a thumb drive and can connect directly to a dock that connects to my laptop or I can disconnect it from its dock and connect it directly to my computer. I thought it was a storage device, problem is, when I connect it to my laptop it makes a sound as if it reccoginizes it but when I look in "my computer" there is nothing there? Please help me, I would like to know what I am doing wrong or if I am looking in the wrong place.

i bought a new HP laptop with windows Vista, i currently have my "old" laptop with Windows XP both Home edition... my new laptop has double the feautures as my old one.. Double the RAM and Hard Drive Memory.. should i keep the new one and sell the old one, or sell the new and keep the old? i know Vista has a lot of issues with programs thats why im wondering, thankz

Does it mean that the lower is the version (or type) of the processor , the slower will be the speed? Can upgrading the memory increases the speed even if the processor version or type is the least?

What I have already tried .....Disk cleanup, reinstall windows XP, msconfig, CCleaner, Disk Defragment. This all began when i did a system restore and then undid it. I have for protection CA Security Center and I like to daily update and scan for spyware. .......
But no my laptop runs to slow to even do a scan or open Internet Explorer......Any suggestions? Thanks.

I think I changed the battery by accident while it was on or something. Now it won't start and it makes a grinding noies. There are also three lights that light up and have pictures of tiny locks underneath them. I really need to get work done so I need to fix it. HELP!!

My computer crashed today, apparently the system files had become corrupt, after examining the BIOS settings and trying to recover if at all possible, I decided to just reinstall because I simply had nothing that couldn't be replaced. But yet my computer was wiped out but the hard drive is still the same size it was before hand, what can I do and what does this me, feel free to be technical, I am very computer literate.
