I'm thinking your wanting a USB port rather then a UPS. I may be wrong so I'll address both.
USB (universal serial bus) ports are usually rectangular and look like the picture in the first link I posted. These are what you would need if you wanted to connect your ipod to your computer.
UPS (uninterruptible power supply) is essentially a battery that is plugged into the wall. Wen there is a power outage, the UPS will continue to power the computer or other electrical devices that are plugged into it until the battery is dead. It allows the user to finish what he or she is doing and then shut the computer off safely. The second Link is of the front of a UPS.
Hope this helps.

USB port can be on the side, front, but mainly on the back of the computer. They should look like tiny slits about half an inch wide and an in height. UPS i dont know never heard of that on a computer.

decide for a center 2 Duo, they seem to be a lot greater desirable then the old Pentium 4 (and greater desirable than the Pentium D) in spite of the undeniable fact that for the initiatives you ask, you rather do no longer want the "excellent, recent very own computing device computing device up as much as now". Any modern hardware will do the activity in basic terms objective a center 2 Duo. (to no longer be perplexed with the middle Duo)

iPod's use USB ports, and depending on your case, there might be some in the front of the computer. If not, theres sure to be at least two at the back of the comuter.

A UPS (uninterruptable power supply) is a battery-equipped surge protector essentially...but any wall outlet will do.
