I have a laptop that is plugged into an outlet but over the past few hours the battery remaining % is steadily decreasing. Why is this happening and what should I do?

its most likely the power connection on the motherboard. this is a common problem on laptop. where you plug in the cord breaks off from the motherboard and loses connection. you can try to have it soldered but it usually doesnt hold. this usally requires replacement of the motherboard.

Could be that the AC adapter isn't drawing enough power to keep the battery fully charged.

Or, the battery could be dying on you.

In my opinion, u should check ur battery. If it isn't good, u should change new one. Then, u should also check ur plug and scoket carefully. If the plug fixes into the socket loosely, ur computer can't be recharged. ;-)

example dell laptop, call dell.
some advice may ruin your laptop
