You'll need to get a wireless router that can connect to broadband, your ISP should be able to sell you one.
The internal modem that Dell will be offering on their web site though won't be of any use for connecting to broadband since it'll just be a crappy dial up modem.

If need a connection just in your house then you will need a main PC a desktop will work the best. Just buy a wireless modem and connect to your wireless modem and the desktop and the main modem after you this insert the disk that comes with the wireless modem and do what is says to do. If you just want wireless Internet then you will have to call or email a local Internet provider in your area and you can buy a card from them.

Your question is very confused.
Are you truly getting WIRELESS BROADBAND?
This is like the Sprint or Verizon or Cingular "unlimited data for your laptop" cards.
If yes, you will need whatever modem the company says you will need for that. Whether this is internal or external is besides the point.
If however the only thing your getting is a Wifi (aka 802.11b) card then yes, you will need a modem to actually connect to your broadband connection like cable or DSL. You will also need a wireless router to connect the wireless signal to the broadband modem.

No. WiFi enjoying cards can basically %. up community alerts through transmissions. A modem & LAN/WiFi contraptions are thoroughly distinctive from one yet another. A modem can basically %. up community alerts if its linked to a telephone line, yet a Wifi card calls for a instant community being detected. you won't be ready to have it the two procedures. Dial-up has a variety velocity from 20-fifty six kbps on a similar time as Broadband has a variety velocity of fifty-a hundred mbps. A modem ought to no longer cope with that quantity of reminiscence.

If you are using your computer at home, then you would want a wireless router and a modem either cable or DSL modem. If you are just using it at hot spots where you can log on to a free server, like a cyber coffee shop then you can get a way without a modem, you will be using theirs.

Yes. Your router/modem is your gateway to the internet. The wireless card is the computer's method of reaching the gateway.

No.
A modem or a wireless card is just to connect to a router or a wireless access point in your house or your surroundings. If you have a broadband service, such as AT&T, they should supply you with an air card for your laptop.
