No but they do have a GPU (Graphics Processing Unit). GPU is also known as VPU (Video Processing Unit). Integrated graphics cards (built-in graphics cards in motherboards) do not.

Graphics cards do have a chip that performs calculations, but it would be wrong to call it a CPU. It is called a GPU (Graphics Processing Unit).

GPU is optimized for floating point calculations, matrix calculations and other calculations that are required in rendering game graphics. In this area, a GPU is much more powerful than a desktop CPU.

However, it lacks support for other tasks that are necessary for running an OS or an application. So, you can't use GPU instead of a CPU. CPU is for managing your OS whereas GPU is to speed up your 3D graphics (usually games).

GPU is usually called collectively with the graphics card itself. You can't remove a GPU and plug-in a better one in a card. It is integrated with the rest of the components on the card pretty tight.

A CPU (central processing unit) can be used as a general name for whatever processor is at the 'middle' of a particular system.

In the case of the graphics card, it's called GPU/VPU

No, it is not a computer, it is a dedicated video card with extra memory to take the load off of your cpu during graphically demanding applications such as video games etc.

Graphics cards presently do not have their own cpu's. There are some made now that do come with their own chipsets on board.

GPU not called a CPU, and I am not quite sure how it compares in hardware to a CPU.
