i have an old mx400 in my pc, i know its ancient but is it any good for its time?

I can explore the drive, even in media player. This is an older laptop that can pretty much only run win 98. But theres no reason it shouldnt be able to play it. It had a crappy trial version dvd player and that worked. (but not good enough to use)

Whats the problem with media player?

If it wont, what dvd players will work in win98?

It even shuts down if i try to import a cd into itunes. When i turn it back on it says 'your system has recovered from a fatal error'.

i am planning on buying a new computer and i have seen these different type of intel processors. i have a budeget or 600-700 i like to multi task, i listen to music surf the net watch movies, dvd's play games download music use photoshop and have antivirus running at the same time. from those processors that i listed which one is the best one in order from best to worst?

I have no idea what can be wrong. My sound stopped working after I reformatted my disk, and when I tried to install AC97 again, it doesn't install no more. But, lasst time when disk for reformatted, AC97 worked, becuz I downloaded Real Player, and I prbly downloaded some patch or something. Can some1 pelase help me, because I dont have sound for a week already! THX IF YOU CAN!

or

See i am trying to upgrade my desktop, its a compaq. I used CPUZ, it told me i have 2 slots of 512 MB RAM, they are both Pc2-5300 333Mhz, then i went online to check newegg.com, i can only find Pc2-5300 667 Mhz, I couldnt find any 333Mhz ones.
Will i be able to use the 667 one? I am trying to take one 512 mb out, and put a 1G one in so i have 1.5 G.

I bough a IDE to USB adapter for my EIDE hard drive that came out of my broken laptop, when i plug the IDE to USb into my desktop it recognizes that i plugged in a USB but it does not shop up in my computer and it does not sound like the drive is spinning, any help... THanks in advance

I bought a Bluetooth online last week and I got it in the mail today. The reason I bought the blue tooth was to use it for online play with PlayStation 3. But I was unsure if the Bluetooth was supposed to come with a USB to plug into my ps3..do I need one?? Or is the Bluetooth the only thing I need.
