I am look at buying a
- Acer with a Intel Centrino 2 duo Processor 2 Gb Ram and 160 Gb harddrive and
NVIDIA GeForce 8400M with 256Mb dedicated memory
or
- Hp with AMD Athlon 64 x2 dual core 1gb of ram 160GB hard drive
NVIDIA GeForce 7150



both same price.
Whichcard is better and which laptop shoud i pick i deffinetly think the acer but i want to make sure

Get the Acer because of better graphics and bigger RAM.

8400M G is better than integrated graphics but not really fast because GPU has only 8 Stream Processors. It is the 8400M GS (16 SP) and the 8400M GT (32 SP) that are quite fast in games.

Acer. The CPU is just a hair slower than the HP, but the extra RAM and the GPU will make up for it. To answer your question, the 8400M will be a better choice. It's not going to run Bioshock or Crysis, but if you are getting Windows Vista, it will support DirectX 10.

BTW I'm not choosing the system just because of the brand.

the acer,thought i like HP,but in tis case HP is using amd chip which is nt veri good,go for the acer,it seems to be rather high specs
