to make it wireless so she can use it in her room etc what do i need some one said a dsl router are they standard or do i need a special compatible one help im useless with computers i do have a one in livingroom with internet help

i am going to buy this desktop pc i think it is just ok for me and for my budget.it cost around $936..it consist of monitor 17'',cpu,mouse,keyboard,printer and desk..

I'v e had my LCD monitor for around 18 months. In the past couple of days something very odd has started happening. After it's been on around 10-20 minutes, it starts to flicker occasionally. Then after another minute or two, small black lines (about 5mm long) shoot horizontally across the screen. Then things go rapidly VERY wrong. You know how a TV picture kind of goes up and down when it's slightly out of tune? It does that for a while, then it gets all pixellated and weird. Basically it's unusable. I've checked all the cables and stuff, and it's not me video card. Anyone got any ideas? I really don't want to fork out for a new one.

i read some sites online, some of the ps/2 to USB keyboard adapters don't really work

i already have a keyboard, i just need an adapter, so i am just wondering if i shoud just buy an adapter or buy the keyboard

i belive that is what like such if u catch a virus on your pc or whatever that damages that or whatever. What else can damage your semos? I have no idea if i am saying it right let alone spelling it right. My pc guy that does my pcs said that in our last pc our semoss was damaged. i was just wondering how that gets damaged other then virus's or whatever. Cause i dont think i have had any issues with virus or trojans or whatever cuase the antivirus has caught them all.

My MacBook STAYS in my bedroom, problem is, when it sleeps, i can't sleep, because of that god for saken pulsing light! I don't shut it down because i have imporntant documents and stuff like that open, so that I can use them right when I wake up. (if I can sleep!)

I saw 2 computer that is hard to choose from. The first is Celeron CPU + 512 MB ram. The second is Pentium 4 CPU + 256 MB ram.

I'm not a big fan of vista and most laptops come with it.

Blue screen with codes came on, but did not get the codes in time. Turned on computer and the fans come on for several seconds then turn off. There is no HD activity. Bad MB?

I think I understand what it does but I just want to make sure. I have a crappy MDG computer that has 0 working USB ports, something to do with the motherboard. Anyways I have seen I can pick up a USB to PCI adapter for about 20$ so I am wondering if I buy this will it allow me to use USB keyboards/mice or am I completely not understanding it.

I have a new nVidia 7600 card, it works great and everything, but after a while if I try to play something graphic-intensive (like warcraft 3 or wow) it starts waving the screen like a flag in the wind, going blurry, shifting from side to side and all that. A restart of the computer always fixes it, but I was wondering if the card is defective, or what?

Is there a setting I need to change? I have updated the drivers from the cd, and have direct x 9.0c.

It also blanks out for a second then starts up again, which is odd. Impossible to play games for 3 hours or so or leave the computer on that time without the display going wonko whenever I play games.

I tried updating the driver, but there is nothing new to update. It is not muted because it still works if I plug in headphones. It was working fine yesterday!! The device status say it is working properly, so I have no idea what to do. If you need any more info(I don't know how much more i can give) I am glad to provide!

I created a folder using the blue tooth and I've deleted the folder several times and it keeps reappearing, I've changed the location and then deleted it, I've changed the name and the deleted it, I've even moved it and to My Documents and it still reappears on my desktop! I've scanned my laptop several times and no spyware worms or viruses are found. PLEASE HELP ME GET RID OF THIS GOD FORSAKEN FOLDER FROM HELL!!!!!!!111!!!!!11

I have a Dell Dimension 5150, with a 3.0ghz Intel Pentium D Processor with 2gbs of ram. I recently bought a new graphics card which is the nvidia geforce 7000gs, which im pretty sure will be perfect for vista. the problem is that ive heard vista runs pretty slow on any processor thats not a dual core, could anyone here support this? Will my computer efficiently run windows vista? Any help would be awesome, thanks in advanced

I have a Toshiba Satellite that's about three months old. I recently realised that there are some scuffs (not really deep enough to be called scratches) around one corner of the screen. Initially I tried to buff it out with a soft cotton cloth and warm water but it only made it worse. It's mostly noticable when the screen is dark or turned off.

I'm not sure what would best work to get rid of the scuffs. I came across this stuff called Displex that's meant for cell phone screens, PSPs, and "any device with an LCD screen". Has anyone had any luck using this specifically on notebook LCD screens? According to the website, "the plastic lens is lightly dissolved and polished with fine abrasive particles. The corners of the scratch traces are rounded off and the fissure bottom filled out with the material of the lens itself." I'm not sure I trust any substance to dissolve the surface layer of my computer monitor. Can anyone put my mind at ease? Or suggest something else?

I bought a new computer just under a month ago...an HP desktop. I have a bunch of photos and videos from my digital camera I want to put on my computer, but when I insert the memory card into the tower, it doesn't do anything. Rarely it will actually AutoRun and show my files like its supposed to, but most of the time I can't do anything with it...its like its not there. What's wrong with this stupid computer? I've already tried unistalling the disc thing and re-started the computer and it still does not work, checked for viruses/spyware/etc and nothing.

"Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)"

What should I do? Remove the back of the computer and re-connect the thing?
