Do I get the one with Celeron proccessor w/ more ram(512).
Or do I get the other one with Pentium 4 w/ less ram(256).

I am mainly using it to watch smooth streaming video on youtube.com , google videos, and CNN.

Thank you in advance.

Im young, but i have been building computers for almost 5 years. trust me, get the one with 512MB RAM, as even though it has a celeron processor, it is 2.0 GHz ,and is faster than the Pentium 4. it also has a 40GB hard drive, double the size of the one which the pentium 4 PC has. finally, the 512MB RAM one probably has two stick of 256MB ram, and two stick are faster than on 512MB one. get the 512MB one. oh, and video playback should be better, faster and smoother on the 512MB one, it has more RAM to store data fast, and a faster processor to move the video data about. im just trying to make it as simple as possible to understand =)

Processor and RAM really has nothing to do with Streaming video thats All internet. So you could have the worlds fasters computer and if you only have Dial-up then it won't matter.

Now if we are just talking about which computer is better out of the two you listed, well nether. But which one would last longer. Get the Penitum 4! LIke the other guy said you well want to upgrade to 512 anyway (or just buy a computer that has a Pentium 4 and at least 512 of memory). Thats the least you should even be looking at.
And get some cheap DSL to stream vides and should be set!

You shouldn't be buying a computer with less that 512 MiB RAM if you want Windows XP (although both of those systems should be able to handle streaming video) and no less than 2 GiB if you want Vista (but if you've got a brain you don't).

Now if you wanted to watch high definition you'd need to have a fast processor, at least 3 GHz P4 level.

Intel Celeron VS Intel Pentium 4 = Celeron = 1% Pentium4 = 99% ... So take the p4 no matter the Ram you can upgrade the RAM later.
Streaming video depends the Internet you have (DSL+ will be okay).
