In my experience, I have never had a problem with an adapter other than when going from USB to ps/2 (some features of usb keyboards do not work through ps/2 sometimes). You should be ok with pretty much anything, but go to a site that has reviews for each product and see if anyone says anything bad about the various brands of adapters. If you are happy with the keyboard you already have, then I would just take the chance and buy the adapter as they are pretty inexpensive.

I have been using a ps/2 keyboard with a USB adaptor for about 4 years with no problems. Got mine at Radio Shack, about $5. Good luck!!

I've lived next door to one for 6 years, and I've not yet once seen it carry a lunch pail in the morning.
