i have built a pc and wish to sell the item on eBay. it is to be used for gaming.

will a 500gb hard drive and GeForce 8800GTS 640MB PCI-E go perfectly well with the above system spec?

i have also chosen to install win xp over vista!!

As soon as I start my system, it get hanged inbetween the boot process. I'm using P-3 800Mhz with 256MB sd Ram. Can any body help me out in this regard....

On my laptops keyboard i use to click on Fn and one of the top keys F12 is volume up and F11 is volume down and theres more keys on the top as well it use to work and now its not Does anyone no the problem?

I've had an AGP GeForce Ti4200 for a long time, which is pretty good... But now I bought an AGP GeForce 7300 which runs on 128mb. As far as I know, both of them are 128mb and my computer has enough to run it perfectly.

Maybe I did something wrong with the drivers, 'cause I don't think I uninstalled them properly... But when I did and put the new card in, all the start-up text came up in gibberish and there were scanlines and garbage pixels everywhere-- even though it was all functioning.

I'm gonna try it again, but what is causing this? Is this familiar? I want to know if there's something other than the drivers making this happen...

I'm thinking of upgrading my Motherboard and make a large leap from Intel Pentium 4HT to Quad Core. I recall something about MS Windows registering my Windows key with the Processor. So if i get a new processor do i have to jump though hoops with microsoft? I'm working with keys from a MSDN liscense, so i'm liable to be told by microsoft i've got extra keys and just eat it.

I want to connect my canon miniDVcamcorder to my laptop so that I can make CD's of the recordings.

The guide says I need a DV cable IEEE1394
The 4 pin goes in my camcorder.
Now I am confused as what should be the pin that goes in my laptop. Is it 4, 6 or 9 pin

Again which port at the back of my laptop it should go.

Can anyone describe it so that I can find it on my laptop.
There is one port with the picture (lololo) and another one with (lol). The third one I know is for printer.

I have USB ports.I use this to download the pictures from image card

Hi, I am lookig for a reasonable cheap printer. I am an "occasional" printer, therefore the printer hasn't got to be fast or extermly fancy.


What printer are you using, how much was it and how much are the cartridges? Spread the word...

I am a little bit nerveous about the cost of cartridges. Are there some companies, which charge less for cartriges than others? Is there a quality difference when buying non brand replacement cartridges and is it true, that some brands have chips, so that I can not use non brand cartridges?

Ok so my old PC is kinda working slow but since i reformatted it, its been fine for now...

i was wondering if the slowing or freezing of my PC before was due to the cpu fan or RAM.
Can anyone give me insights on this.
Specs: Intel Celeron 2 GHz
80GB HDD
256 MB DDR PC3200 RAM
NVIDIA GeForce MX 4000

Im running XP, and i checked my cpu i have 2 slots for DDR im planning to buy another 256MB---cheap =) is it good or should i just buy a 512 and remove my old 256 MB RAM?

currently i have a new HP deskjet model. over the last five years ive had hp epson and canon printers and all seems to be the same dilemna. if you choose greyscale mode, your page prints grey alright... by mixing all the colors! after a while, greyscale prints turn to red (or blue, or yellow) as the other colors run out! is there a cheap home printer that does not do this? one that actually just uses the black cartridge when you choose no color? i'm getting sick of buying color cartridges for printing in greyscale.

I live in the college dorms where we have a weekly bandwidth limit, but am barely in range of one of the school's wireless hot spots where we have unlimited bandwidth. Is there anyway I can boost my laptop's range so I can connect to the wireless internet?

Additional Information: My laptop has an internal wireless card. It's an Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG card if that helps.

Also, I do have the passkeys to connect to the network, so that won't be a problem.

..."farther" than pixels are even smaller lights, like RGB colors

My question is, are these RGB "background pixels" full, solid, and all perfect, or do they have minor imperfections, but are too small to notice/affect the actual image produced by the monitor (the one you see from 2/3 ft. away?

My toolbar (the one that's at the bottom of the screen with the computer clock on it) takes forever to load. How do I remove some of the icons from it so that it loads faster? Like I want to remove the quick time, real player and launch outlook express icons that are down there. But I still want to be able to use quick time and real player tho, so I don't want them to be completely disabled or uninstalled from my computer. I still have the icons I mentioned on my desktop and I do want them still on my desktop, but I just don't want them to load or appear on my toolbar. I hope that wasn't confusing? Can anyone give me instructions on how to get them off the toolbar?

Ok, so heres what I know already

-My laptop is about 4 years old
-It runs fine on its own
-it has about 256 RAM, the minimum
-it has a great graphics card, a Geforece card by Nvidia, exact version unkown

Hers what I want to know.

1.Wheres the best place(And cheapest) To buy
1024 worth of RAM?
2. How do I know that my graphics card is out of date?
3. Why are a lot of games not reconizing my video card?
4. Where can I scan my video card, and get recomondations to upgrade my Video RAM?

I have plans on building my gaming pc and I need some advice on a good psu. I already ordered an 8800GTS 320MB because I have a 17" monitor. I was thinking on getting the AMD 6000 (I currently have 5000) but it's 125w. I heard an 89w version is already out but not in the US. That really sucks.

So, like the question asks, is 600w enough? Assuming I get the 6000 with 125w.

My old computer surged and the power supply and the motherboard went. everything else is still in good condition. I bought a new computer that has vista on it. (my old pc had XP) I tried dropping the graphics card from my old pc into the new one, its an ATI Radeon 9200. All the drivers for it on the internet are for XP and when I try putting the driver CD in, it gets to the installation and I get an error message

"Setup was unable to find components that can be installed on your current hardware or software configuration. Please make sure you have the required hardware or software."

any ideas?
