Choose the second system because if you go above 2 GB RAM without actually NEEDING more than 2GB RAM your system will slow down some because of memory addressing issues (I think that's the reason). In any case, as you go up in RAM, more processing power is required to deal with it. The 256MB video card will be a BIG difference in performance over the 128MB card if they both use the same class of video memory (DDR2 or DDR3 for example). Also, remember to use the fastest RAM your system will support. If the last is redundant, sorry.

You should choose the computer with the Nvidia 8600GS because it is a better performing graphics card. When it comes to gaming, it's all about the graphics card. Besides, you can overclock the graphics card and get even better performance.

As for the 2gigs of RAM, thats plenty to run Vista.

Pick the 8600GS!

I'd say get the video card with the 256mb.

If you're a gamer a video card will access the memory on a video card faster than the RAM memory on your motherboard. You probably woudnt need anything more than 256mb.

Choose second option..........
Because most games run very well with 1 GB RAM.......
And they'd rock at 2 GB........
But what they require is graphics compatiability so you should go for 256 MB NVIDIA 8600 GS......

2Gb is enough, you'll get more payback for the better graphics card.
