I know if you have 2 cores, you're to multiply the GHz by 1.5, and thats the speed it runs at.
But does it clock in as the 1.6 GHz, or the new value you get?

I know some programs won't install at all if they find something that doesn't meet the minimums, so if it clocks as 1.6 GHz i'm going to have issues...

My computer will just shut down while I'm working on it. When it shuts down, I have to hold my power button for like 30 seconds to get it to come back on. And it does it constantly.

hello, i need a layman's description here. (no clock or bus thingy, unless u can tell me a good simple analagy to explain those terms)

i searched the web and most are askin like amd vs intel core2duo, but im curious to know, whats the diff between intel's own 4xxx series and 6xxx series? which is the one that people get now? i have clicked on the compare function in intel's website, but basically its just technical comparisons with terms that i dont know really. i just want to know bottomline, which is the series that ppl go for and why (if theres any preference that is.)

lets say im tinking of a pc for really normal usage, no overclocking or high end stuff to be done..

thanks for all answers =)

I have a home theater set up. It uses a heavily shield vga cable to the dlp projector.

I have been thinking about upgrading it to dvi with the new vid card that I picked up that has both.

I hate to buy a dvi 50' cause it will cost me close to a hundred bucks at that length.

I have seen dvi to vga connectors that can be used to send a signal to an analog monitor.

My question is if I used to of these, one one each end of the vga cable, and connected them to the dvi ports on computer and the projector. Would it carry the digital signal across?

Even if it is a high-end product, AMD's L2 cache size only featured 2MB.
On the other hand, Intel's L2 cache size can reach 12MB.

Is this a disadvantage of AMD?
