Take the mouse, point at the little person, and click Delete! Just kiddin',(kinda' makes you want to, huh?) As soon a you push the power button on, tap F8 repeatedly. This should take you to a screen where Safe Mode is one of the options. Use the Up/Down Arrow key/s to 'highlight' Safe Mode, and press Enter. When in the Safe Mode screen,(takes a cupla' seconds to load), Click on Start>Control Panel>Performance and Maintenance>System Restore,(upper left) In the calendar they give you click on a date that looks like it's in bold numbers,(like BOLD here, just not capitals). Click on a date that your 'puter was runnin' okay,(no sneak attack by 'little people',[gotta' luv 'em!] Edit: Oh yeah, if this is Win98: Start>Settings>Control Panel>System>System Restore.

shut you computer off and put in the windows disk that came with it. turn the computer on and it will ask you if you want to recover. make sure you choose the "recover" option or you could lose any information you had saved and it will revert back to exactly how it was when you first bought it.
