if it started that out of the blue while u were printing it is usually caused by the printer getting out of sync with the print job.
turn the printer off, cancel all your print jobs, turn the printer back on, and start over.

There are several possibilities.

1) Do you have the right print driver? My very first guess would be that you are not using the correct print driver. Download the driver here:

Choose legacy printers and find yours.

2) Cable: I've seen this with printer cables that aren't "really printer cables" Make sure yours is an ieee1284 cable. You can usually get these cheap at thrift stores. No need to pay premium prices.

3) Parallel port: Sometimes, though not often. The printer port will need to be set to something specific like EPP or ECP in the bios. Just get into the bios find the printer port and switch though the different settings to see if one of them behave better.

4) Defective Printer: Not much you can do here. However, I think this is the least likely cause.

bypass to records contained in the better left nook of your record web page. Scroll all the way down to print. Open the printer, from there you should get a que chart on your printer. ensure the que chart shows the printer you're utilising is contained in the container marked printer. If no longer, open the container and spotlight your printer. click ok and also attempt to be able to print back

When that happened to an HP of mine, the problem was an outdated driver. Go to the manufacturer's website, find the most recent driver for your printer and install it. If that doesn't work, uninstall the printer completely, then reinstall it with the newest driver.

if you haven't done so already, take all the paper out so that the printer won't spit out more garbage
open start > control panel > printers and faxes
"open" your printer
delete any print jobs that might be there

Unplug the printer, delete the driver and reinstall them again, restart the computer and plug the printer back in and try it again.
