The link you have is to a half height PCIe X600 SE graphics card, for slimline desktop PCs.

The link below is to part of the Dell Inspiron 6000 manual entitled
"Replacing the Video Card/Thermal-Cooling Assembly ".
It is a discrete part, but it is considerably smaller than a desktop graphics card...

However, I suspect that this is just about replacement of a defective part - with an identical model. Nowhere could I find anything about an upgrade being available in a format to fit the 6000.

Only Dell would be able to provide either a higher spec part, or a definitive answer that no such part is available.

The guys above are wrong, you can get separate graphics cards in laptops, my dell inspiron 8600 has a separate an nvidia graphics card with 32 mb of memory............how do I know? because I took it out and replaced it with a better ati 128mb card from dell.

In your case I think there is the option of adding a standalone gfx card in that model if you can find the right one, usually custom made by the manufacturer and can only be got from them, or ebay if your'e lucky. The link you added is a desktop pc graphics card. I think call of duty 4 is a bit much to ask of any laptop unless it's a state of the art dell xps or something.

no. u cannot upgrade the graphics card in any dell laptop, or any mainstreet laptop for that matter. You are stuck with the ati x300 that is in it.
