Look, I am not much of a computer hardware kind of guy but I have this logitech usb ......something, it looks like a thumb drive and can connect directly to a dock that connects to my laptop or I can disconnect it from its dock and connect it directly to my computer. I thought it was a storage device, problem is, when I connect it to my laptop it makes a sound as if it reccoginizes it but when I look in "my computer" there is nothing there? Please help me, I would like to know what I am doing wrong or if I am looking in the wrong place.

As far as I know logitech does not make flash drives so, If its a logitech product what you are describing sounds like a receiver for a wireless keyboard, mouse, or remote.

Thats weird, when I use my flash drive I can open it in "My Computer" I do not think it is an error on your part. Just say you are opening a document on Microsoft word, when you go to file... open... and on the very right of the box it will say "look in:" go down to removable disk and your stuff should be there =) Gosh I am not too savvy with computers myself my friend, I saved a blank document over my things before, be careful! haha

A Bluetooth dongle? Could be a normal wireless keyboard/mouse receiver, in which case nothing will come from it unless you actually pair a keyboard/mouse to it.
