im disabled and have nothing i can do for the quality of my life but sit in my wheel chair and use a computer i lost last yr i have many friends alll over the world my computer and printer and all myb xp window set up and al my back up disc a girl refused to gived me the rest of my ssi ck to fed ex them and get me on a bus that day can you help me im desperate

I am giving my computer to my nephew because I am upgrading. I was wondering if there was a way i can copy all my music from windows media and just put it on my new computer, is there a way to do this?
Also, I did all my office work on this computer, i deleted all the files, but i was wondering if there is something else i should do to make sure it is erased for good. I dont want him to see the files i erased. Any ideas? The computer is an hp and has windows xp (if that matters)

Hi, i have a toshiba power cord that i just purchased a couple months ago. All of a sudden it wont work to charge my laptop. There is no damage to it at all. I looked up the warranty and it said One Year. I was wondering how i go about returning it and getting a new power cord, like what number i should call nad such. thank you.

My computer was running on windows 98 when it broke down. It really just stopped powering up. I guess it just needs a new psu but im getting a new one soon so im just goiung to give it away. But in the mean time i need some files that were on my old computer, since it wont turn on is their anyway i can take something out of it.I need microsoft word documents.

I have an HP a350n desktop computer. I've had it for about 3, maybe 4 years now. Around a year ago when I got my video iPod, I was able to stick a DVD into the drive and put any dvd in Mp4 format and put it on my iPod. Or I could just watch a DVD on my desktop. What I'm getting at is.......My computer all of a sudden just stopped recognizing DVD's. It will still recognize/burn/play CD's, but when I insert a DVD, I see a little Disk Icon over my mouse like it's processing, but then it stops, the DVD doesn't show up in my computer.....I can't find it anywhere. The driver just isn't recognizing them for some reason. Does anyone know what could possibly be wrong or any way to fix it?

I really want one of those laptops you can twist so that you can write on them (like in Read it and Weep). I heard someone say it was a Tecra or a Gateway orr something. Anyway, I like to travel, so I'll definatly be watching movies on flights, writing, iTunes, long battery life, and Sims Stories (or whatever it'ss called). Any good laptops? Oh, and I don't care whether you can store photos or not because I don't really use that.

I work for an attorney and the courts are moving from VHS to CD's and I am trying to figure out if it would be cost effective to use VHS or switch to CD-R's. If CD-R's are re-recordable then I feel that CD-R's would be a better choice.

I just got the adobe web bundle only to find out I don't have enough RAM on my computer. So instead of getting more RAM installed I'm thinking of just buying a laptop, which is what I was going to do eventually. Now I just need to know if this is a good idea. I'm not at all computer savvy.

This is a new laptop, and the card only goes half way in, it looks like the slot is only half the size it should be when you look further inside. Is the standard size changing or am i going mad? The card fits in my older laptop, any suggestions, or anyone else had same prob?

it seeks and detects and then when I press accept on my mobile it asks for a PIN number that is supposed to be on my USB dongle thing but can I eckers find one on there....Any suggestions on how to locate the PIN number would be appreciated...
