I got a Dell with a 1.83ghz core 2 duo processor with 2gb RAM and identical specs dor everything else and with Vista from Dell for $1200. Search for evalue codes for a inspiron 6400 on google to get codes to get discount and deals at Dell.

It depends how you use it. If all you are goign to do is sit in your room and use Microsoft Word then I'd say no. But if you need the extra memory and like to play around with graphics, make videos with the webcam, and travel with it, then I'd say yes.

wait a little while if possible (about 1-2 years) vista might less for less and you get get better specs. for same price. or try dell or (MDG if in Canada) tigerdirect which is cheaper.

I think that if you are looking to spend that much money you should go with a Apple. They crash MUCH less (I know from expirence) and are funner, if thats what you are looking for. I suggest a macbook or macbook pro. Happy searching =]

That almost looks like the one I have. It's pretty good but I had to reformat it because so much junk came with it that I didn't want and couldn't get rid of.

Yes thats a very good deal. However unless you know someone who knows how to fix laptops make sure you also get the THREE years PARTS and LABOR.

I know how to fix pc's but dont know how to do laptops and it can be a nightmare if they break!
