I really want one of those laptops you can twist so that you can write on them (like in Read it and Weep). I heard someone say it was a Tecra or a Gateway orr something. Anyway, I like to travel, so I'll definatly be watching movies on flights, writing, iTunes, long battery life, and Sims Stories (or whatever it'ss called). Any good laptops? Oh, and I don't care whether you can store photos or not because I don't really use that.

It is expensive for what it is, so I would recommend getting a normal laptop, such as a Dell. Shop around on Google for evalue codes to get good deals from them. You will get a better deal for your money from Dell, even better with the evalue codes. The swivel top isnt all its cracked up to be, as you cant easily access the buttons or resume work and it if you sit it flat on your lap or on a table, you will be stooping over it to view it, a normal latop will sit nicely on your lap hence the name "laptop". If you get a dell get the 1440x900 widescreen with true life or go for a differnt toshiba or an HP. My Dell is an entertainment laptop and does everything. Although a Tecra is a swivle laptop, I dont think you an write with it as a atblet. Youd have to get a tablet PC for that, but alot of these dont have dvd drives and the screen quality is forfeited so you can write on it.

Well, you are talking about software, any laptop comes with software to play music and movies (if comes with DVD), and pictures. But not all comes with software like office and that is what makes a laptop expensive.

Dont worry about hardware (DD, processor, DVD Room, and cards) because actually any new computer comes with very affordable devices to do whatever you want in seconds.

Remember to turn off the wireless card when you travel by air because when you turn on the computer, the device look for some conexion to the internet and that makes interference with the plane controls

now would be a great time to buy a macbook by apple

you can run windows like you always do and also have the amazing mac operating system

its like two computers for the price of one

it comes with a webcam built in so you can video chat if you like

and they are built to last - it will give you at least 4 years of service and thats a lot for a computer now a days

if you are a student make sure you get your student discount

i see you use itunes - well if you like itunes you'll love a mac all the apps on your mac will be a smart and simple as itunes

take the plunge and dont forget you can still run windows so its at least as good as any pc

good luck!

enable me preface via affirming that i'm a authorized Dell and HP Reseller. I have not got something against Macs in any respect. in actuality, i'm rather inspired via the present Macbooks. in case you like the Microsoft working gadget, the Dell Vostro laptop has been my cutting-edge %. for ultimate fee for lowend laptops. for my section, you're evaluating apples to oranges. they do no longer study to one yet another as they the two have diverse reward. My professional opinion: Macbooks - good (equipped on Unix platform), good courses, common, extra inflexible standards, extra useful video enhancing ability, skill to run XP almost (employing application). Dell Vostro - Comes with XP or Vista, versatile with application, a good number of hardware concepts, decrease priced. i choose to advise you communicate on your instructors first and ask what they are going to be employing. finally, you will discover much less issues in case you whichever platform they are employing.
